Overview of ATN

ATN real-time hydrographic data are served via the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) Global Telecommunication System (GTS) to operational forecasting centers and also via ERDDAP.  These data provide increased understanding of ecosystem processes and improve predictions of future ecosystem conditions including storms, floods, drought, climatic variation and other weather.

The ATN is grateful for the support provided by the FACT Network, the Atlantic Coast Telemetry (ACT) Network, the Southern California Acoustic Telemetry Tracking Network (SCATTN), the Wood Hole Group Argos Services Team, and by all of the satellite and acoustic telemetry principal investigators who responded to our request for information. 

ATN links industry and business with its network of research universities, community colleges, government agencies, and other partner organizations to deliver the technical assistance, customized training, and other tools and resources needed to improve operational efficiency, productivity, and competitiveness for Alabama manufacturers.
