Overview of Cosmos

Cosmos retraces the fourteen billion years of cosmic evolution that have transformed matter into consciousness, exploring such topics as the origin of life, the human brain, Egyptian hieroglyphics, spacecraft missions, the death of the Sun, the evolution of galaxies, and the forces and individuals who helped to shape modern science.

COSMOS students apply to a specific “cluster”, with each cluster addressing advanced topics in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) fields, including a variety of engineering disciples, pharmaceutical sciences, and computer science (to name a number of).

COSMOS is comprised of 17+ applications, that allow control of hardware that can be anything from test equipment (power supplies, oscilloscopes, switched power strips, UPS devices, etc.), to development boards, to instruments and complete satellites.

COSMOS aims at reducing this dependence by turning the currently underutilised domestic oil crops camelina and crambe into profitable, sustainable, multipurpose, non-transgenic European oil crops for the production of oleochemicals.

COSMOS provides students with an unparalleled opportunity to work side-by-side with outstanding researchers and UC Santa Cruz faculty, covering topics that exseem beyond the typical high school curriculum.

COSMOS (The California State Summer School for Mathematics and Science) is a 4-week program for talented high school students hosted by the University of California, Irvine.

Cosmos has already launched inter-blockchain communication (or IBC) and Thorchain will integrate with that soon, which will enable it to add many more blockchains.
