Overview of Ethos

ETHOS is a randomised, double-blinded, multi-centre, parallel-group, 52-week trial to assess the efficacy and safety of Breztri Aerosphere in symptomatic patients with moderate to very severe COPD and a history of exacerbation(s) in the previous year.2 Outcomes in the ETHOS trial included, as a primary endpoint, the rate of moderate or severe exacerbations.

Ethos was therefore achieved through the orator’s “good sense, good moral character, and goodwill”, and central to Aristotelian virtue ethics was the notion that this “good moral character” was increased in virtuous degree by habit (Rhetorica 1380).

Ethos has streamlined the application process with predictive modeling and proprietary technology to make it easier for customers, and we leave the actual insuring to the industry giants that have paid out billions of dollars in claims.

Ethos (a fewtimes called an appeal to ethics), then, is used as a means of convincing an audience via the authority or credibility of the persuader, be it a notable or experienced figure in the field or even a popular celebrity.

Ethos (ἦθος, ἔθος; plurals: ethe, ἤθη; ethea, ἤθεα) is a Greek word originally meaning “accustomed place” (as in ἤθεα ἵππων “the habitats of horses”, Iliad 6.511, 15.268),[2] “custom, habit”, equivalent to Latin mores.

ETHOS involved more than 8,500 patients who had experienced ≥1 moderate/severe exacerbation in the previous year and were receiving at least two inhaled maintenance treatments at entry into the trial.2,3

History of Ethos

In 2005, Longines first introduced their Master Collection as a premium line marked specifically by self-winding movements and high-end craftsmanship.

In 2014, Kel published “The Little Book of Do”, where he illustrates the ethos that by doing, we become.

In 2015, in honor and recognition of his 15-year tenure as ETHOS Board President, the participants of ETHOS 2015 established the Mark Bryden Scholarship Fund to support participation in the ETHOS conference of one participant per year from a developing region (Africa/Asia/LAC) with direct field experience who would otherwise not be able to come.

In 2016, in honor and recognition of his service to ETHOS and the ETHOS Board, the participants of ETHOS 2016 established the Dean Still Scholarship Fund to support student participation in the ETHOS conference.

In 2019, Plexus created a book for Kel called, “The Little Book of BEing Kel Landis III” to honor his work and inspiration.
