Overview of Gratz
Gratz is located in northeastern Dauphin County at 40°36′35″N 76°43′04″W / 40.609747°N 76.717835°W / 40.609747; -76.717835.[4] It sits along the northern base of Short Mountain, a western extension of Bear Mountain, part of the Ridge and Valley Province of the Appalachian Mountains.
Gratz, founder of the skier-beloved forecast company OpenSnow and alumnus of the Center for Science and Technology Policy Research (CSTPR) at the University of Colorado Boulder, recently created a new app for iPhones that provides forecasts for hikers of Colorado’s highest peaks.

History of Gratz
In 1815, Gratz helped establish the Philadelphia Orphan Asylum, and served as secretary for its first forty years.
In 1824 and 1839 he was elected to the state legislature.
In 1997, CIR filed a lawsuit on behalf of Jennifer Gratz against the University of Michigan’s undergraduate admission system, and a second lawsuit on behalf of Barbara Grutter against the University of Michigan Law School.
