Grimm was a Senior Associate at a Manhattan based defense firm specializing in complex medical malpractice and general liability litigation and brings with her vast experience in defending physicians and hospitals in complex medical malpractice cases, including birth and obstetrical injuries, cerebral/Erb’s Palsy, failure to diagnose, emergency room, medication and surgical errors, hospital and nursing home negligence, and wrongful death actions, as well as Mental Hygiene Law, Guardianship and Assisted Outpatient Treatment Proceedings.

Grimm’s recent experience includes counseling on the $17.3 billion acquisition of a major health insurer, the $6.1 billion acquisition of a major medical device manufacturer, the $3 billion divestiture of a major consumer products manufacturer, the acquisition of a national pharmacy chain, the initial public offerings of pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers, and the acquisitions of health and life sciences data analysis and management companies.

Grimm has participated in a number of multi-center clinical trials, including serving as co-primary investigator in the ACUTE trial, which studied transesophageal echocardiography guidance in patients with atrial fibrillation undergoing cardioversion, as well as studies examining the utility of echocardiography in resynchronization therapy for patients with heart failure.

On September 30, 2011, NBC delayed the debut of Grimm by one month, moving the premiere to October 28, 2011, so it could premiere closer to Halloween.[15] On November 21, 2011, NBC picked up the series for a full 22-episode season.[16] NBC showed a special Thursday showing on December 8 at 10 pm to see if the network’s overall ratings could improve.[17]
