Overview of Nexty

Nexty Electronics Corporation of the Toyota Tsusho Group (Headquarters:  Minato-ku, Tokyo, President:  Atsushi Aoki, hereinafter referred to as "Nexty Electronics") and Toshiba Microelectronics Corporation of the Toshiba Group (Headquarters:  Kawasaki-shi, Kanagawa, President: Yoshihiro Motowaki, hereinafter referred to as "Toshiba Microelectronics") have agreed to establish the joint venture "Nexty System Design Corporation" as explained below. 

NEXTY Gold Awards, selected by New Hope Network editors, are awarded once each year to honor legacy brands that have demonstrated over time that every element of their businesses exemplify the NEXTY criteria of innovation, integrity, inspiration, and impact.

NEXTY Awards are given to products that display the utmost in innovation, integrity and inspiration and help forward the work of the natural products industry to deliver more healthful, trusted and sustainable products to consumers.

Nexty Electronics launched its software business in 2004, and has strengthened its project management capability through offshore development while building a deep and wide network of customers.

Can my same product win a NEXTY Award if it has already won a NEXTY?

Your product cannot win a NEXTY Award in the same category that it has already won, however, it is eligible to be considered in different categories.

Do I need to send a sample of the product for judging purposes?

Do products need to be available at retail before they can be nominated for a NEXTY Award?

Products must be available for purchase by consumers by July 2020.

Do the NEXTY categories change every year?

The NEXTY categories are a reflection of the product categories that exhibit/attend at our SupplySide Expos.While some categories have remained consistent throughout the history of the NEXTY Awards, new product categories have been developed specific to the SupplySide audience in mind such as Best Condition-Specific Supplement.

How do I nominate next year?

The call for nominations for the NEXTY Awards at Expo West open in November. The call for nominations for the NEXTY Awards at Expo East open in June.

How do we win a NEXTY Award?

NEXTY Awards are typically only open to exhibitors at Natural Products Expo West and Natural Products Expo East.The nomination period and judging for NEXTY Awards is completed in the two months prior to Expo West or Expo East.For Expo West Virtual, any CPG brand in the natural products industry with a finished product can nominate.

How do you define if a product is new?

Products launched and available for purchase to the U.S.consumer market between summer 2019 and July 2020.

How much does it cost to nominate a product?

There is no fee to nominate a product.

If we have multiple flavors/varieties in a single product line, should I send all flavors for the judges to evaluate?

You can send up to 3 flavors of the same product line.If you have more than 3 flavors, please select the three that best represent your product line and send only those.

May I enter the same product in more than one category?

No, products may only be submitted in one category.

Should I submit a product line or a single flavor/variety of a product for a NEXTY?

A single product line should be submitted, however, we ask that you send no more than 3 flavors for the judges to consider during judging.For example: A company has two product lines: a high-protein milk in 5 flavors AND organic high-protein milk in 5 flavors.If they wanted to enter both of these product lines for a NEXTY award, this would count as two separate nominations.The company can send up to 3 of the flavors in each product line for the judges to evaluate.

What are the benefits of winning a NEXTY Award?

NEXTY Award finalists and winners receive a lot of industry recognition before and after the natural product expos.

What are the NEXTY Awards?

The NEXTY Awards are a twice-annual awards program in which New Hope Network recognizes the most innovative, inspirational and integrity-driven products in the natural products industry.The awards are connected to New Hope Network’s largest annual natural product expos: Natural Products Expo West in March and Natural Products Expo East in September.

What if my final packaging isn’t complete?

We often have nominations for brand-new products that are still in temporary or final packaging stages.Please send the most finished product that you can along with any packaging mock-ups or notes that convey further attributes to the judges.

What if my product is too large to mail (a full-size grill, for example)?

In the case that your product is extremely large and too difficult to mail for judging, please send any relevant product photos and/or product sheets that will assist the judges in making their decisions.

The NEXTY Gold Award recognizes one or two companies (not products) who continue to innovate and impress us with their NEXTY nominations year after year. The award is not necessarily given at every expo—it is reserved for just those companies that hit high marks on the criteria of innovation, inspiration and integrity when we consider their product offerings and their company and mission as a whole.

When will the winners be announced?

Typically, all of the NEXTY Award winners are announced to the industry via newhope.com the week after the expo.The 2021 NEXTY Award winners will be announced during Natural Products Expo West Virtual Week, May 24-27, 2021.

When will the winners be awarded?

Typically, the NEXTY Awards are given right at the winners’ booths on Friday at Expo East and Thursday at Expo West.
