Orbit

Overview of Orbit

  • Orbit aims to create a community in which new students are actively involved and feel a greater sense of belonging at UT Dallas, increasing students’ knowledge of university resources, helping them develop meaningful connections with faculty and fellow Comets, and encouraging them to participate in academic, co-curricular and extracurricular activities.
  • Orbit, a startup that is building tools to help organizations build communities around their proprietary and open-source products, today announced that it has raised a $4 million seed funding round led by Andreessen Horowitz’s Martin Casado.
  • ORBit’s part of MD
    Anderson’s Therapeutics
Discovery division, a unique group of clinicians, researchers
and drug development experts working collaboratively to develop the
next generation of targeted, immune- and cell-based therapies.
  • Orbit looks fantastic out of the box (so to speak), but really getting the polish requires a couple more pieces of love, especially getting a hot load before images pop in and fixing for a few less fortunate browsers (IE).
  • Orbit Fab envisions a thriving in-space market for products and services that support both existing space businesses (communications and Earth observation) and new industries like space tourism, manufacturing, and mining.
  • Orbit Health is there to help people get the care they need, whether it’s at the time of arrest, in court, behind bars, on parole, residential youth homes, or in community mental health clinics.
  • Orbit 3DM Publisher enables you to publish unlimited volumes of planar/panoramic imageries, meshes and point clouds of your mobile, oblique, indoor, UAS, or terrestrial mapping data.
  • Orbit gives you 2.4 GHz ultra-low-latency wireless performance control with a range of up to 100 feet and eight hours of continuous use per charge (up to 24 hours standby).
  • Orbit Communication Systems reports delivery of a military satellite communications system from the OceanTRx4 Mil family to the Israeli Navy, for the Saar 6-class corvette
  • Orbit as of version 1.1 works in IE7+, but since CSS3 transforms or RGBA aren’t available, we have to perform a few magic to fix the timer and caption default background.
  • Network

Orbit is an all-in-one community platform that makes it easy to build, manage, and engage professional groups, networks and communities.
