XMax

Overview of XMax

  • The XmaX is a 3-way system comprised of two powerfully balanced 10-inch woofers, a pair of full-throated 6.5-inch midrange drivers, a pitch-perfect 1-inch Ring Radiator tweeter…and, for extra vibrancy and substance in the high frequencies, an ambient tweeter placed on the rear.
  • Xmax is the amount by which the voice coil can move in one direction
without it leaving the magnetic zone

If excursion is increased even further, the back of the voice coil former will eventually
slam into the magnet, risking permanent damage to the driver.

  • The XMAX is a more compelling machine all around, with more power (27.6 HP vs 24.5 HP), more displacement (292cc vs 278cc), less weight (397 lbs vs 428 lbs), a high end fork, standard traction control, more aggressive styling and a newer design.
  • XMAX serves as a waveform display for seismic data and
can perform various processing operations on this data
which include band filtering, rotation, power spectra plotting, and
    similar analysis features.
  • The XMAX is powered by the newly designed Blue Core 250cc, liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, SOHC, 4-valve fuel injected engine with CVT that produces excellent power and torque.
  • The XMAX is powered by an advanced 292cc liquid-cooled, four-valve single that develops smooth, tractable power.
  • XMAX also affects the value of HSIZE, which controls
the horizontal dimension of the graphics output area.
  • XMAX Corporation Inc., a software development company based in Petaluma, California, USA.
  • XMAX preamplifiers are built with three key elements:
  • XMax is down 5.52% in the last 24 hours.

What is Xmax and why do I care?

So how far can we go?

There is a zone between Xmax and Xlim where we can operate without risk of physical
damage but where distortion increases as we increase excursion.Looking at discussions on various Audio forums, there is general consensus that, for a subwoofer,
distortion becomes audible if you exceed Xmax + 10%.It is fairly safe to assume that you won’t damage your driver. When designing a sub for Home Theatre, which is primarily driven from the LFE channel, a little distortion is acceptable,
so Xmax + 10% gives a better estimation of how the sub is likely to be used.

    What is Xmax anyway?

Above is the cross section of a typical speaker voice coil assembly.Shown in light yellow, is the zone between the pole piece and the magnet
on the outside of the voil coil, where there is a uniform magnetic field

While ever the voice coil maintains a constant number of turns within this zone of constant magnetic field,
the signal will be reproduced faithfully.
